Peace of Mind

GUARANTEE

You don't pay me if things go wrong. If the show is more than 10 minutes late because of me, it's free. If a technical failure of my gear interrupts the show more than 10 minutes, it's free. (Other than venue power failure, I can't control that!)

I'M ABSOLUTELY RISK ADVERSE

I go the extra mile to make sure things DON'T go wrong. Every component in my system is dual redundant - even the mixing system. Most suppliers don't do that. I have the most comprehensive risk matrix, and I'm always updating it.

GREEN MEANS WE ALL SAVE

Too many shows are over supplied, over lit, and over amplified. I work backwards from what you need, and make sure all my tech is exactly fit for purpose. You save money, I save time, and we all save electricity.

YOU CAN'T PRICE EXPERIENCE

I think I've been at, or seen, or written about every possible gig disaster. Some of them from very basic human error, some from in-experience, and most from equipment failure. I think I've developed an extra sense. From experience.

I'M A SEASONED EVENTS MANAGER TOO

It means you're dealing with someone who speaks 'venue language'. Doesn't mean I'll manage your event - unless you hire me to do that as well. We're less likely to encounter some of the problems in my list below!

TYPICAL THINGS THAT GO WRONG

  • Wrong time, date or place. No excuses for that!
  • Vehicle breakdown on the way.
  • Crew don't turn up, shortage, wrong crew.
  • Wrong specification, inadequate system.
  • Equipment fails. Happens! You must have an alternate.
  • Audience blinded due to bad lighting design.
  • Too loud - and that is complex. See next item:
  • Band after awards dinner - too loud if run through the main PA.
  • Over lit, lighting operator compulsion syndrome.
  • Talent not lit properly. (See above).
  • Fire alarm goes off due to fogger. Expen$ive mistake!
  • Power failure due to overloading.
  • Power failure because catering plugged in after rehearsals*.
  • Venue restricts access for setup*.

My guarantee (above) covers everything except these ones *)
